Vino Rosso was
featured in the November 6th, 2003 West Island Dining Guide.
You
won't know in advance what will be on Vino Rosso's menu, but you can be sure
that the food will feature local produce, game and meats, expertly cooked and
superbly presented. Seating just 60 people, the St. Laurent restaurant focuses
on Mediterranean cuisine prepared with the freshest of ingredients.
It's one of the few area restaurants serving wild boar and ostrich, as well as
Quebec lamb and various game meats.
'You
get top quality food served with a lot of attention to presentation. There's a
great deal of care given to details," says manager Joe Cannizzaro. "We're also
known for having very reasonable prices for such fresh food."
Vino Rosso also offers an extensive wine list as well as several homemade
desserts. The daily menu is posted on a board and usually features five or six
entrées and more than a dozen main courses.
Open for both lunch and dinner, Vino Rosso is closed on Sunday and Monday.
However, Cannizzaro noted that groups may rent the restaurant on Sunday for
special events such as engagement parties or baptisms.
